This resource offers the first 4 lessons of Statistics for year 5 in line with the White Rose small steps. Lesson 1: Read and interpret line graphs Lesson 2: Read and interpret line graphs Lesson 3: Draw line graphs Lesson 4: Use line graphs to solve problems Each lesson starts with an independent activity/question for the children to work through. This is a great way to assess what the children know prior to teacher input. After this, there are 1-2 slides to work through with the children to guide their learning during the teacher input stage. Resources are also present on the slides to aid additional support and to enable teachers to talk through the resource sheets if/when necessary during the independent learning stage. All lessons follow the same structure - including the use of varied fluency, reasoning and problem solving.
