This is a full unit of guided reading planned and resourced for the book Viking Boy. The book is great for teaching a Viking Topic. There are power points for each week , that include 3-4 Activities based on a chapter. You may use it to pick and choose different bits, based on how your school does guided reading. There is no lessons for the last 4 chapters- we just enjoyed those chapters. Everything is there for you, including resources on the power point which can be printed ect.

Wonder by R.J Palacio Guided Reading Unit of learning. 6 Powerpoints, which have activities for each chapter of the book, up until about half way ( all we had time for ). There are teaching points and it is fully resources, there are three activities for each week. The dates are on the slides, which can be changed to suit your teaching schedule. The activities are based on exploration of themes and characters within the book, with they key reading skills evident throughout as well as Sats style questions and how to answer them.

A unit looking at the Artist Frida Kahlo- comes complete with resources- the final lesson would be just completing their own self portrait which is not evident on here.
