This resource contains over 8 resources including the PPT of the lesson. Using basic dual coded images, students will:
Recall key key moments (1 tracker per stave and 5 key moments per stave)
Retrieve relevant key quotations
Apply relevant key themes.
An Eduqas statement question and extract is included, along with a walk-through for the extract. This question can easily be used or adapted for other boards.
The writing structure strip replicates one I found on TES many years ago from a history resource. I have adapted this to mirror Eduqas/GCSE English Lit essay writing requirements. Many thanks and an acknowledgment to the orginal creator - sorry I do not have a name to directly reference!
Covers structure & contexts for the following poems:
A Wife in London
The Soldier
Dulce et Decorum est
Mametz Wood
The Manhunt
Each context sheet can be used alongside the task sheets in the PPT slide show. I print one of the poem sheets per lesson onto A3. I set as homework the week before studying, but these sheets can easily be used as the classroom resource. The question prompts around each poem are sections of the question used for the Eduqas Unseen Poetry question (bar the contexts box). I’ve used these prompts as a way of preparing them and improving their independence later when faced with the unseen paper.
