This document is a list of key skills and knowledge we want children to learn each half term during their Nursery year. The statements are drawn from the Birth to 5 Matters document and tweaked to fit our curriculum. I have only left in Autumn terms statements to give an example as this curriculum is for our children to meet the needs of the community and any curriculum’s from other schools should reflect their community and families.

This is a half termly calendar I use at group time to discuss help give a clear representation of time to children. It promotes discussion around what is happening today as well as what happened yesterday and will happen tomorrow and in the future. The symbols are from Wigit and require a subscription to use but I highly recommend. We use these to represent particular activities such as what days we do music and movement, Wriggle Write (early writing program), days we can have the bikes, stay and plays days etc.
