Printable mark sheet for the GCSE French Writing exam (F Tier) with a simplified mark scheme

As an AQA examiner for the French GCSE, I understand how difficult it can be getting your head around a long detailed mark scheme. I have used my AQA training and experience marking candidates and my own KS4 students to create this printable feedback sheet which my students have found really helpful in making them understand how to make progress in this part of the exam. It has also saved me a lot of time writing out long comments. You can use a highlighter to highlight which points have been achieved and you can make students complete their own www/ebi comment at the end.

How to achieve success at the GCSE French writing exam

As an AQA examiner for GCSE, I have marked many new GCSE French writing papers (including my own KS4 students) which gave me an insight into which part of the exam students find challenging. Training with AQA also gave me an invaluable deeper understanding about what the examiners are looking for when marking the writing papers. My Power-Point includes revision of the some vocabulary, some simplified versions of the mark scheme for each questions and some practice questions. It is designed for both tiers, higher and foundation, so you can use this resource for a mixed ability class. This should take you more than one lesson to deliver the content. I have also posted on TES the simplified printable mark schemes for H and F which you can use to give feedback to your KS4 students without writing out long and repetitive comments.
