Fractions, Decimals and Percetages

(1)
A resource I used with a low ability Year 8 group after they had learnt the basics of converting between fractions and percentages. First task - Practising a range of questions involving converting between Fractions and Percentages in a range of contexts. Second task - I started by saying 'I think Apple is taking over the world' and explained that I had gone into each Maths classroom along our corridor and recorded down the amount of iPhones in each class, there was one classroom missing (the room we were in), so that I could use the class as an example. I then asked students to rank the classrooms in order based on the proportion of each classroom. Some probing questions after this to get students thinking about this topic more deeply.
