This mat aims to help students to get into the habit of developing their ‘What is in the photo?’ answers for the GCSE Spanish Speaking exam. It guides them through different areas to ensure that they are including a wide range of vocabulary and grammar.

This game can be adapted for any verb conjugation or translation task for group or paired work. The snakes and ladders are transparent and beneath the writing to make it legible. If playing translation: Delete the text box in the top corner and populate the grid with words or phrases for your students to translate. If playing conjugation: Students roll twice. Roll 1 determines which space they move to and Roll 2 determines which pronoun they must use in their conjugation. If your dept uses TL pronouns, these can be easily changed. Enjoy!
