Using Watership Down as the extract. I have created a series of lessons revising section A of paper 1 and looking at question 1-4. This is after students have studied the exam, therefore already know what is expected and is simply being used for revision. I am aiming this towards the higher ability students - therefore you might adapt how much you are expecting them to write in the exam if they are a lower set! All resources included in PP or worksheet.

New GCSE specification revision on Jekyll and Hyde. Working towards AQA literature but can easily be adapted for any exam board. Theme revision - setting. A few different resources adapted and taught to a middle set. Easily adapts to higher or lower ability students.

Use as a one off or just to revise certain elements. Annotations of certain quotations to do as a class or you could adapt to have students find their own. Exam extract and question at the end with scaffold.

A full exemplar script from the specimen material on Edexcel website. All answers are adapted from the indicative content in the mark scheme and written by myself. Section B answer has been taken straight from the exemplar on the website as it claims to be 40/40. I have also added comments in to show what is expected for each question and to give some guidance to writing. Best shown after students have completed the mock paper, which is also attached.

I made this scheme when we replaced Of Mice and Men novel study with The Dark Lady by Akala. The novel includes links to 16th century London, sonnets and Shakespeare and is a modern BAME author. The scheme is 22 lessons long including a homework. However, the reading of the novel may take over this amount of lessons.

Follows the new 9-1 specification for WJEC. 12 lessons introducing advertising and analysing set products- 'This Girl Can' ad campaign and the 'Quality Street' advert. Includes homework and creative tasks with exam skills practised throughout. The final task is to design their own advert which they do on paper then Photoshop, this can be adapted to allow just a paper production if necessary.

Two lessons structured around answering section C of the AQA literature paper 2. Guided paragraph structure and an example answer at the end for the comparison. Suggested timings and suggested question focus to help the students gain the marks needed.

A series of lessons focusing on the skills for AQA Language Paper 1. Includes the extract, example questions and answers, a debate and a chance to answer the questions. Also included is a resource I made from scratch which is a 'colour by words' sheet, focusing on word types. Answers are also included in the notes section of the PowerPoint.

Named the Ultimate Quiz. This provides some quick fire questions to test the poetry knowledge of students. Answers are also attached.

A lesson for revision for low ability students. With broken down activities for weaker learners. Lesson with a focus on Act 1 Scene 3 with the witches as the focus. Key quotes analysed in detail and explained with techniques the author has used. A weaker analysis paragraph shown for discussion with an improved paragraph allowing further discussion on what makes it better. Sentence starters and checklists provided to allow pupils to attend their own paragraph as well. Finally, some guided annotations of Macbeth’s language when speaking to the witches to continue pupils understanding of how to analyse in detail.

I have made two lessons that focus around the comparison section of the literature paper 2. These can be easily extended to three or four lessons, dependent on the ability of your group. Included is some example questions, example paragraphs, a focus on structure and general revision notes.

AS level Media resource A series of lessons going through the background information, relevant ideas and guidance with an exam question to answer at the end.

A range of activities/ lessons for the new specification with AQA for speaking and listening. Sources range from old and new, but equally as relevant. Includes resources in the PowerPoint (on the slides) but you might decide to put into a word document for some of them.

A series of lessons for Deadpool for the A2 exam. Includes background information about Deadpool's comic book character. Focuses on genre, narrative and representation.

I have attached 3 lessons which look at question 2, 3 and 4 of the AQA Language paper 1. This resource is more challenging so would probably suit middle to high ability. There is guidance of how to answer the question, example responses and chances for the students to respond to each question with a timer.

A few lessons focusing around characters and continual revision. Example answers and guidance of how to answer the exam question included. Includes resources for a variety of An Inspector Calls exam questions and a theme revision grid.

Using Peter Pan, these are four lessons to introduce the AQA Language Paper 1. I have used it as a scaffold then to create future lessons using the same skills. Example paragraphs and scaffolds in place throughout.

Two resources. One is a set of questions for An Inspector Calls with space to plan an answer, add key quotes and attempt an answer if you have time. These are harder questions and completely random, one follows the structure of 'how far do you agree' to get students thinking. The second resource is a few questions and example paragraphs for the Love & Relationships cluster for AQA, these are typically the poems that students don't remember or don't like to compare. There is a chance for them to critique the paragraphs and mark out where the assessment objectives are met (or not).

6 lessons following on from the advertising scheme I have added previously. Uses the new Eduqas Media specification and adapted the specimen material for a set of questions focusing on film Marketing and Bond. Some example responses including advertising responses and film marketing responses.

Roughly 11 lessons focusing on section B of Language paper 1. All resources within PowerPoint and the final assessment attached which uses the opening of 'Rebecca' and all 5 questions and can be used as a walking talking mock through the PowerPoint as timers have been included.

Series of lessons looking at and analysing the poems Blessing and Poverty. With comparison at the end and example answers. This was planned for online teaching so might need some adapting. Also included is the same tasks on a take away worksheet instead for pupils to just get on with if you couldn’t teach them for whatever reason. Or to set as homework.
