To understand variations in how components function. Lesson 4: Investigating Components To design and carry out a scientific investigation. To understand variations in how components function.

Two lessons on light taught to Year 6 with practical activities: How we see things To recognise that light travels in straight lines from light sources To use the idea that light travels in straight lines to explain how objects are seen How shadows are formed To explain how a shadow is formed. To explain why shadows are the same shape as the object that casts them.

Used on my maths working wall to support upper KS2 in calculating questions and choosing order of operations.
