A GCSE resource for low ability students that helps them to independently revise key quotations and essay skills for Macbeth, Lady Macbeth and The Witches. A PDF and a Word Document version is inlcuded so that you are able to edit it as desired.

A creative writing activity booklet (28 pages) aimed to stretched and challenge KS3 writers. The booklet has a number of activities that explore creating tension, developing emotive language and writing ghost stories. The booklet is intended to be completed independently. It could be used as a homework task, or alongside a story unit - such as ‘Lamb to the Slaughter’ to allow students to develop their writing skills and styles.

A series of creative writing tasks (stories and speeches) inspired by the Shakespeare play ‘Much Ado About Nothing’. This was used with a mixed ability year 8 class to support their understanding of characters and themes, allowing them to develop clear opinions.

A short 7 lesson scheme of work looking at ‘madness’ in Victorian literature, focusing on the short story ‘The Yellow Wallpaper’. The lessons focus on reading comprehension, anlaysis and creative writing skills. Aimed at KS3.
