Termly planning for literacy when studying the Romans. There is a genre per week, but these can be extended if you want to spend more time on a specific genre. This is old planning and does need adapting - but hopefully you can take some ideas from my planning for your own lessons!

Literacy planning based on the novel 'Medusa's Curse' when we were studying Ancient Greece. This planning is for years 3 and 4, but can be adapted for older years. There is a different genre per week but you can easily adapt to extend a genre to cover it for more than a week.

This planning is a little old, and I cannot take credit for all of it as it was shared planning, but I hope you can get some ideas for genres from it and adapt the planning/IWBs as you need to!

Addition loop cards for Year 5. I’ve also created a sheet to use as evidence for the children to write the calculation and answer on as they walk around the classroom working. My plan is for the children to work them out on whiteboards then stick the sheet in books as evidence. Hope you find it useful.
