A series of 3-4 lessons designed at introducing Of Mice & Men. The focus of these resources is for students to learn the context of behind the novella. These lessons cover: An introduction to Steinbeck with an introduction to the novella’s key themes An overview of To a Mouse, Robert Burns A glance at the concept of the American Dream A research task focussed on the key contextual areas: The Roaring 20s; The Wall Street Crash; The Great Depression; The Dust Bowl. This unit is aimed at Year 8 / 9 students as a creative introduction to Steinbeck.
