A PowerPoint lesson which allows students to discover the diversity of the French Speaking world and celebrates famous Black People from French speaking countries. This can be tied in with Black History Month celebrations and a suggested follow up activity is that students research one of the famous people to present in an assembly. Includes a worksheet and a wordsearch of francophone countries as an additional activity. The famous people featured are historical figures such as Senegalese writer Mariama Ba and contemporary people such as Thierry Henri and Omar Sy.
