Genetics revision questions and answers covering cell structure, meiosis, mitosis, transcription, protein synthesis, inheritance and pedigree analysis. Lesson Tips I normally use this as a revision resource at the end of a unit but will hand it out to students at the start of the unit so that it can be used in lesson if they finish classwork or as homework if needed.

A stand alone nitrogen cycle resource including a poster and multiple choice follow up questions with answers. Contents Contains a poster and list of statements required to complete it. Completed poster. Summary questions & answers. Lesson Tips I normally print the poster on A3 paper and have students glue it into their workbooks once they finish so that it opens out like a page. Students work individually or in small groups. This isn’t a full lessons work - I normally pair it with an activity on the phosphorous cycle.

A stand alone resource that students can use without prior knowledge of buoyancy. Contents The resource starts with revision of Newton 1 which then links to the basic idea of buoyancy. This is followed by and online lab (PhET - it could be turned into a ´real´ lab) to explore the concept in more depth with extension questions to finish. Two versions of the worksheet are included - one focused on mass, the other on weight. Answers for both are included. Lesson Tips This represents about 90 minutes of work. I tend to use the mass version of the worksheet (its a little simpler than the weight version) and get the class to work in groups of 2 or 3 for one lesson. I then have a a follow up lesson where we link to weight and forces and finish with the extension questions. Like This?
