Here is a performance poem I wrote for my Year 5 class when we studied the Victorians for a class curriculum topic.
Children performed this as a rap, in groups, for a class assembly.
Could be used as an introduction for a lesson on Victorian inventions.
I wrote this poem to be used as part of a Year 6 class assembly, describing Titanic as she struck the iceberg and sank.
The children enjoyed adding emphasis and drama to this poem and it gave our assembly a different perspective, rather than simply reading out facts.
