Investigate fundamental themes about the presidency 1945-2020. Great A level US Politics homework or homelearning activity to introduce the presidency. Contains student task chart and activity sheet plus version of chart with complete answers. Completed chart prints off to make a great revision document. Made my own chart because there was nothing in the textbooks or on line that enabled students to see all these trends over time in one place. Accompanying activities enable students to look at Detailed information on divided/ united government and its impact on the level of challenge facing any given president Success rates for incumbent presidents The party system over time (including a focus on the early party system in the USA) Pivotal mid term elections Importance of previous experience for presidential candidacies Also important for the very basic point of giving students a secure chronological framework of presidents

Activity to help GCSE students master the complex political deals of 1932-3 that helped Hitler to finally become Chancellor. GCSE 9-1 History Nazi Germany AQA, Edexcel, OCR, & i-GCSE Storyboard in pdf and editable Word docx format plus example of use. Useful for common questions evaluating importance of the Great Depression and other factors in Hitler coming to power in 1933. This activity is to use as the “final factor” following lessons on Wall Street Crash, Nazi tactics etc Over the years I have found this final factor to be the trickiest for the students to follow so I made this storyboard as a way to help them break down the complex sequence of events of 1932-33.
