A 7 week unit of mid term planning for Non-Chronological reports based on the 5 senses. The model text is an adapted version of The Tree Giant by Pie Corbett and focuses on grammatical structures as well as vocabulary activities and of course it follows the structure of T4W throughout. I’ve included the planning itself which is based on 4 lessons per week except for a couple of 3 day weeks which were following my own schedule. It might be important to note that I designed this for my International School and so it may need some editing to meet criteria for UK schools. Also included is the model text I created to work from.

As a new teacher, I have found that independence whilst working is something I find hard to convey, or my pupils aren't quite there yet. This is a little reminder which I've laminated and stuck on to every pair of tables. The children have to go through every step before they finally get to an adult. My class love them as I have added a funny photo to mine. It's a powerpoint slide and fully editable for your classroom, Enjoy!
