E-safety Assembly - Fake News - Computing

Fake News is big news. THis assembly covers the main points: what is fake news; how to spot it; what to do about it. It links to videos from the BBC and the screen grabs contained in the slides indicate which video is meant to be watched. Please leave a review, good or bad, so that I can make these resources better. Thank you, @codeyjody

This scheme of work is made up by providing links to other free resources available on the internet. These include Google Be Internet Awesome and Digital Literacy curriculum, SWGfL, ThinkUKnow. IMPORTANT: I am in no way trying to pass these off as my own work, merely putting links to them all in one place and creating a SoW out of them with progression through year groups and learning objectives. I intend to put together a complete Scheme of Work, including E-safety, Digital Literacy and Coding, created from other free resources in the next few months. I wish to thank the creators of these resources and I am glad I am able to present them for your use. Please leave a review, good or bad, to help make these resources better. Jody Carter @codeyjody

Algorithms and plants - Computing - ICT - Outdoor Learning - KS1 - KS2

A bundle of resources to help learn about algorithms through the planting of seeds, in this case sunflowers. Includes: worksheets, slides, what is an algorithm teacher help sheet, as well as additional resources to investigate sunflowers further. As with my other resources, I am not claiming credit for the creation of these resources, only bundling them together to form a nice lesson plan and continuing activity that links to other curricular outcomes in science. @codejody

Each week there will be a Scratch Funs to challenge you and your class with. The challenge will build each week and you can choose a hot, hotter, hottest (easy/medium/hard) to help scaffold the challenge with hints, help and hoorays. Learning how to code is a great way to develop confidence, perseverance and problem solving, and using Scratch Funs is an easy way to add in morning work, a lesson starter or just for fun! @scratchfuns @codeyjody
