Research Methods: Conducting your own psychological experiment
This resource bundle includes the supporting PowerPoint and resources to guide your students through the process of conducting their own experiments.
Please note, the experiment ‘menu’ has been inspired by the AQA GCSE Psychology course e.g. options to replicate Murdock, Gilchrist and Nesburg and Bruner and Minturn. There are also 2 additional experiments which students can learn about before conducting the research. Research links are included.
The resource includes 4 phases/lessons:
Getting started and the planning proposal form
Following ethical guidelines
Conducting the research
Writing the experimental report
Students will require prior knowledge of research methods to effectively plan. We complete this experiment after teaching the Research Methods unit at the end of year 10.
