Day 1: prediction road. Children will cut and stick William onto the road, writing a prediction on what they think will happen in the story. Days 2,3 and 4: retrieval questions based on chapter 1. Day 5: summary questions on chapter 1.

An ordering activity, where children place clothes (fractions, decimals and percentages)onto a washing line. This is followed by 3 questions.

Four days of guided reading activities. Both text and questions are attached. Each day has a separate current affairs issue that has recently been in the news, followed by VIPER, word choice and extension questions.

Pupils should first buy 10, 100 or 1000 shares. They will then roll a dice to see which number rule they should apply. With each roll, the pupils should subtract a specific amount.
