A resource for a starter lesson on Music Technology - designed for the NCFE course but easily adaptable for KS3 or other level 2 courses. Outlines the differences between Audio and MIDI sound, necessary for the exam, including a sorting task. This is designed to be a very short intro, that can be expanded into the usual compositions necessary.

Covers instruments, Musical Elements and a few simple questions. The English terms are given with space (and pictures) for the student to write the corresponding term in their home language, to help with understanding and memorising. The questions have space for keywords to be written in the home language, then to be answered first in the home language, then in English.
Designed to be used with assistance either with an EAL specialist/bilingual or appropriate adult/online translator, and ideally with music available to be played and discussed.
