Eduqas Literature Blood Brothers: Linda and the Twins

(1)
This is everything you need for a couple of KS4 lessons focusing on the character of Linda and how she is created to be a sympathetic character: PowerPoints, extract, wider text quote revision, response planning grid, and part of an exemplar response. The resources have been created using the Eduqas English Literature 9-1 specification but assessment objectives and outcomes can be tweaked to suit your own needs. This is aimed at high ability (7/8 targets) students but, again, can be adapted. The timers used in the PowerPoints can be found in a presentation downloaded from here: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/powerpoint-timers-6451249

Tracking Lady Macbeth

This is a resource created with the Eduqas English Literature specification in mind. It begins with an extract analysis sheet pupils are guided to specific elements of language, structure and form in the sleepwalking scene (Act V Scene 1). Then pupils are asked to think about how Lady Macbeth has developed across the whole play and there is a group quote finding activity, encouraging pupils to use the skills they have developed in the first task. I also used the CGP ‘The Complete Play’ guide to help those pupils who were struggling with the scenes/language.

Spectre: Regulation and Product Placement

Around 2 lessons worth of resources on the topic of film regulation and product placement in James Bond Spectre, suitable for the Eduqas GCSE Media Studies qualification. I’m trying to improve standards of independent working and the linking of ideas, rather than just imparting information upon the students, as seems to be the tendency with some of the resources for these Component 1 Section B topics.
