My Year 3 class loved this unit! Unit culminates in writing an alternative opening from the Iron Man’s perspective. It is full of drama activities, and children will have read the whole book once finished.
The PDF of the book is fully available online, so copies of the book are not necessary if you don’t have it. The unit was planned for LKS2 but is easily adaptable for UKS1.

This is a talk for writing unit I have been using for the last few years in Year 2 and Year 3. The unit ends in the children writing their own innovated section of the play - complete with Shakespearean insults. There are lots of opportunities for performance and drama. Can be done over 2 or 3 weeks. Hope you enjoy it!
