Charlie and The Chocolate Factory themed creative writing lesson. This lesson allows students to test their reading and comprehension skills first, then use their imagination to create their own candy creation. There’s sentence starters on the PowerPoint and extra ones on a separate sheet as I have used this for an Open Day activity also. Works well for years 4-7 depending on ability. It could also be fun to allow the students to eat some sweets and describe their taste/texture/smell etc to make it a more sensory fun experience.
