Created by a former trampolining national champion and a qualified PE Teacher who holds a UKCC Level 2 Trampoline certificate and has over a decade of coaching experience. Geared towards Year 9 (ages 13-14) intermediate and advancing students but has opportunities to challenge higher ability students while supporting lower ability ones. Priorities safety and technical development. Creates a strong foundation for taking trampolining as a sport for GCSE PE. Unit Aims: To be able to stand up from the 3 body landings: seat, front, and back To be able to do basic twists To be able to do basic rotations To be able to transition from one body landing into another To be able to do a 10 bounce routine Includes: Full scheme of learning mapped out over 6 weeks (6 hours). Clear assessment criteria and scoring system to make end of topic grading easy A range of appropriate routines progressing in difficulty Year 7 and 8 SOL are also available
