This is a half term unit of work that comes with starters, ppt slides, deckchair plan and a knowledge organiser. A really popular unit with Year 8 students.

This is a 6 week unit of work which challenges either individuals or working in pairs to solve one of the journeys to school around the world. It can be tailored to a material area of D&T or left completely open. I’ve tried both ways and feel the students thrived when left completely open. The unit includes plenty of starter questions including maths.

A half term unit of work where students work in pairs to design and prototype a short term shelter for a local homeless charity. This builds on the skills previously gained when making their timber mobile phone deckchair stand. Students will work with rip stop nylon and flexible nylon spars or wooden dowel. The unit also comes with plenty of starters including maths.
