Edexcel "Belonging" Anthology Summaries for ALL POEMS - GCSE English Literature

(0)
Includes in depth analysis of both language and form and structure, for every poem in Edexcel’s “Belonging” Anthology, in GCSE English Literature. The language and form and structure analysis are in separate sections, in order to appeal to the requirement of the markscheme to have one language and then one form and structure paragraph. There is a section for context, as well as links to context within the analysis, to also fulfill the requirement of the markscheme to incorporate context into analysis to strengthen the poet’s message. I have selected 6-8 quotations for every poem, all of which outline the poets’ main messages and consists of sophisticated techniques (e.g. metaphors and personification), to allow priority of the most important information when short on revision time. The quotations for form and structure are still rich to analyse, so you can use them in your language paragraphs, as long you have enough evidence in your form and structure paragraph. Remember, in the form and structure paragraph, you still need to have brief language analysis. However, the most in depth analysis will be done in the language paragraph!
