The powerpoint has all of the common exception words for year 1. I like to use it when I have a spare few minutes and focus on a maximum of 5 words at a time. We say them, then say them in a different voice then look at the tricky parts of the word. We then practise writing the 5 words on a whiteboard which they enjoy.
