A simple investigation which should take 2 lessons. Students choose 5 locations and collect data at each. They then write up their data, following the ‘geographical enquiry’ framework (which is displayed on each page so students know where they are up to. You will need: A map of your school (or a Google Maps screenshot) to add to the powerpoint Anenometers Compasses Thermometers (I borrow from Science department!)

A simple but thorough lesson, designed for 2 hours, about the Earth’s structure and Plate Tectonic Theory. Includes continental drift, seafloor spreading, paleomagnetism, ridge push and slab pull, types of plate boundary, hot spots, mantle plumes, and a bit of introduction to sesimic and volcanic hazards. Does not include video links; add your own depending on the ability of your class. Made for the AQA syllabus but suitable for all A-Level Geography courses.
