This is two or three lessons for EYFS classes to teach them about the Zones of Regulation. It could be split into more lessons depending on the time of year you teach it - we teach this in Autumn 1 and 2 and we often go through it really slowly with them so they fully understand what we are teaching. This is a lesson on introducing Classroom Jobs into EYFS. I find they give children responsibility and a shared sense of belonging. We give each child an opportunity to do all the different jobs - it does require monitoring and ensuring children are all getting a chance. I just do it using the register and monitor it that way!

This is an Understanding the World lesson all about Nocturnal Animals. It gives children an introduction to what nocturnal means and then some animals which are nocturnal. It compares nocturnal animals to diurnal animals.

These are some lovely resources for creating a flower shop role play area in EYFS. It can be done alongside an existing role play or could be set up on its own. I normally use this in Spring 2/Summer 1 when we are learning about Spring and the Plant Life Cycle. It is a really simple role play to set up but the children absolutely love it and then we get children in circle time saying they want to be a florist when they grow up! I have provided labels, order forms and a set up guide with some questions you can ask whilst in the play with children. There are also some key words to be used to help prompt the discussion.
