Year 4 The Jabberwocky by Lewis Carroll
Here is a sequence of nine lessons on the classic poem ‘The Jabberwocky.’
Within this sequence, children will analyse the features of the poem as well as diving into the potential meanings of nonsense words, to support their comprehension of the poem. Students will develop knowledge about the context of the poem. Student will be able to use this structure to create their own nonsense poem about a mythical creature.
