Do Your Bit- Is a website with teacher and student resources for teaching and learning Energy

(0)
I am excited to present to you a website that I have created called “Powering the Future: How do we harness sustainable energy?”. ***This website is designed for both teachers and students and contains valuable resources to help them understand the importance of sustainable energy and its link to climate change. The website offers NGSS and IB-aligned lesson plans for teachers to teach students about sustainable energy. It engages students in hands-on activities, discussions, and interactive content to help them understand the importance of sustainable energy in powering the future and combating climate change. By the end of the unit, students will be able to design and construct their own village and choose their energy sources. The lessons include engagement activities, space for sharing ideas, and focus on empathy for those affected by climate change, promoting social and emotional learning. One key aspect of this website is its focus on bringing real-world problems into the classroom from across the globe, giving students a comprehensive understanding of the impact of climate change and the importance of sustainable energy practices. Another valuable feature is the glossary page, which provides easy access to key definitions and terms. Additionally, there is a text-to-speech feature that can read the definitions aloud for English language learners and students with visual impairments, allowing them to revisit key concepts and terminology throughout the lesson by just clicking on the term in the Glossary page and it translates the text!
