Iori Tomita Sea Creature Prints Planning Unit

(1)
Exploring Charles Darwin’s theory of Evolution and David Attenborough’s First Life documentary; this art unit will explore print making using polystyrene tiles. The unit begins by researching the artist, Iori Tomita and his interesting method in preparing his specimens. The children will recreate an animal x-ray using toothpicks and string. Finally, the children will work on developing a final idea and recreating a final piece using both printing ink and poster paint (neon colours) on both black and white paper. A planning unit. This unit links to Science-Biology.

Maths SATs Questions PDF PowerPoint

(0)
A PDF PowerPoint based on a selection of Maths SATs, tricky, reasoning questions with answers. I have also included a ‘Convince Me’ question at the beginning, whereby children can work independently or as a group to solve this. At the end are the rules for playing the game Pentamin, for which I have included the link for the website where you can print the game board. It was a lesson that I used in the run-up to SATs, however, could be used as a collaborative lesson once a unit has been completed.
