Focus questions for critical reflection on student’s own practice, or that of their peers.
Set within the context of the Pearson mark scheme for A Level Art and Design - idea, process, recording, synthesis.
This is a set.
The first resource is a planning document that can be used as a Writing Frame for a piece of continuous prose (or essay) for the A Level Art Personal Study.
I outline what I expect a clear analysis to have.
It starts off with the idea that the student has seen a real artwork and felt a strong reaction to it and this sets the scene for further investigation of a refined question.
Or is interested in a particular art movement or a range of three artists who deal with a particular issue. And also, should see these works in the flesh, or their contextual sources should be experienced where possible.
A few basic sentence starters to get students started on the introduction.
And also a thorough breakdown of what to include in the Bibliography. Thorough research underpins success, but a range of resources should be acquired.
The second resource is an Assessment sheet made as a place to record feedback / overall conversation about the study development.
Enjoy! Let me know if I missed something / how it could be improved? Thanks!
