Whole School PE (Physical Education) Overview and Roadmap (both editable)

Created this for my current school. Based on 2 x 2 hour PE lessons a week. Sports are often repeated as the children get older (e.g hockey in Y4 and Y6). That way they can recap skills and build on prior knowledge. Both templates are editable. All little images come from NounProject website. Would be a good place to start. My school use Primary PE Planning so there are some links to that (e.g. dance units are specific to their units) but can easily be swapped out for other units that match your curriculum. There are some different sports in the overview to give the children a broad range of sporting chances to discover their talents. I also have individual road maps for each Year Group available that links to this with all the assessment criteria questions on. I can upload if needed. Originally in Google Slides format (downloadable in PowerPoint but easily converted back to Slides) Hope this helps to get things going in PE for your school!!

6 poetry lessons to be taught consecutively over the period of a 6 days (could be longer if needed). The children LOVED this unit as it gave them the opportunity to let their imaginations run wild! Over the course of last academic year, this unit produced some of the best writing I had. Covers MORAPS (Metaphors, Onomatopoeia, Rhyme, Alliteration, Personification and Simile ) in some detail. Could plan more lessons to make each a lesson on each of these. Having the book would help but not essential. Have fun teaching. I sure did!

Used at the end of reading The Lion, the Witch and The Wardrobe to describe Edmund as a character. Can easily be adapted to suit other characters as all resources are editable and generic (will need to change some images on slides). The children loved this and produced some different work but required thought and the use of their language. Used in Year 4 and the children loved it. Happy Teaching! :)
