(0)
**This Excel template has been designed to support teachers in accurately assessing and moderating Year 6 writing against the 2018/19 Teacher Assessment Frameworks (TAF) for End of Key Stage 2. ** I originally created and used this within my own school for individual Year 6 pupils in preparation for 2025 moderation. These templates proved highly effective in organising evidence and demonstrating teacher judgements. Moderators commented positively on the clarity and professionalism of the format. The template allows you to: Digitally assess a pupil’s writing against each TAF statement (separate tabs for WT, EXP and GD) Easily check off when standards are met Automatic colour-coding highlights areas of strength and development, making gaps in evidence instantly visible Present judgements in a clear, concise and consistent format Support and justify teacher judgements during internal and external moderation Create individual, personalised assessment sheets for each child to track progress over time and ensure all statements are securely met Ideal for: Year 6 teachers Writing leads and moderators Schools preparing for KS2 writing moderation This resource saves time, reduces paperwork and gives both teachers and moderators confidence in assessment decisions. This resource was created for use in our own school and is intended to support assessment against the Teacher Assessment Frameworks; it is not endorsed by the Department for Education or any other official body, but is shared simply as a tool that others may find helpful during the moderation process.
