These objectives have been taken directly from the National Curriculum and formatted/grouped in an user friendly format. These objectives also encompass objectives listed in the spelling and grammar appendices. A useful document to help teachers map and plan for curriculum coverage. This document has also proved useful when provided to parents to help them understand the expectations for writing in each year group. We all know how hard it can be for children to include all the grammar features for year six in their writing. This is a resource I have made to help encourage the children to include as many as they can! I created it in line with the end of KS2 assessment framework. It does not include every single objective from the framework - but it certainly helps the children tick off lots of them! (Harry Potter themed examples are included to help the children remember how to use the feature!) Gold-coloured objectives are those usually taught in Year 6. Silver-coloured objectives are those usually taught in Year 5. Bronze-coloured objectives are those usually taught in LKS2. (Tip: I print these on A3 and laminate them so they are a reusable resource the children can use when writing independently.)
