Lenses for IGCSE Physics

(0)
By fully grasping the objectives of these lessons, students will develop a comprehensive understanding of lenses and ray diagrams, including how light interacts with convex and concave lenses to form images. They will be able to predict and describe image properties (real/virtual, upright/inverted, magnified/diminished) based upon the object’s position. Through simulations and practical experiments, and problem-solving activities students will reinforce their ability to analyse and interpret ray diagrams. Some images have been removed due to copyright such as the images of short and longsightedness. I have also removed the template but it should be easy to make this for yourself. The material also includes a review of light as a starter and a plenary to assess knowledge of lenses.

Assessment on Refractive Index

(1)
This formative assessment quiz is designed to help teachers quickly assess students’ understanding of refractive index, a fundamental concept in GCSE and iGCSE physics, This quiz is aligned to the CIE 0625 IGCSE Physics course but is also suitable for other exam boards such as AQA, Edexcel, OCR and WJEC. It covers the key principles of refraction and includes Snell’s Law, TIR (total internal reflection) and real world applications. The quiz contains four sections that include multiple choice, short answer questions and concept applications. A challenge question is also included.
