Cops and Robbers (like battleships)
Cops and Robbers, is a two-player strategy game of naval combat where players try to locate and sink their opponent’s fleet of vehicles by calling out coordinates on a grid. Each player arranges their fleet on a personal grid and then takes turns calling coordinates to search for and hit their opponent’s ships.
To play Cops and Robbers, two players (or teams) arrange their five cars secretly on the top 10x10 grid. Players take it in turns calling out coordinates of a square (e.g. B5) to guess where the vehicles are hidden. The opponent responds with a “Hit!” if a vehicle is there or a “Miss!” if the square is empty. If they guess right, they get to go again. If the last remaining square of a vehicle the opponent must announce “You found my vehicle”. During play each player should record their opponent’s search on the top grid, and their search on the lower tracker grid as “X” for a hit and “O” for a miss. The first player to find all five of their opponent’s vehicles wins.
