This is a 20-mark model answer written by myself, an experienced Geography Head of Department for the Contemporary urban Environments section of the AQA A Level Geography course. The question is “To what extent do you agree with the view that urban issues affect cities in developing countries more than cities in developed countries?” (20 marks) This resource includes a simplified mark scheme and detailed top tips for all 20-mark A Level exam questions. 50% of the marks available in Geography A Level exams are 20-mark essay style questions so make the most of this resource and learn how to answer them effectively. This model answer uses Mumbai and Nottingham as the two main case studies but you could easily substitute in your own case studies, e.g. Lagos and London.
