These resources contain a PowerPoint presentation and an original song accompanied by a video on the verb “être” in the present tense. The video features visuals, photos and subtitles. It starts very simply, slowly and progressively harder and faster as the song goes. The song is funky, catchy and will get your students singing or rapping. It includes repetitions for drilling of the vocabulary, and the melody is easy to learn. It also contains funny references to pop-culture such as Snoop Dogg, Star Wars . The PowerPoint has an introduction to the key vocabulary as well as different activities for students to recognize and use the verb être in the present tense (reading task, dominoes, look up for the verb…).
