Shakespeare Drama SOW

(0)
This is a short tour of Shakespeare styles and plays in a reduced down form which allows for students to gain love for the Bard, instead of going straight into dissecting one of his many plays. The 5 lessons develop drama skills whilst using Shakespeare as a stimulus and the 6th play students choose one of the lessons to refine and develop for their summative assessment. If you are not as confident with stage combat then there is a fantastic video by the RSC on youtube that you can watch with the students and pause at key points. This is designed to be fun, and to go back to the reason Shakespeare wrote his plays in the first place… to entertain!
