Teach-a-Bot Classroom: 5 Robot-Learning Browser Games + Lesson Plans & Worksheets (KS2/KS3 Computing
Can a wobbly robot learn to walk? Can a robot arm get closer to the hoop with every try?
Teach-a-Bot Classroom is the schools edition of Teach-a-Bot Arcade: 5 browser games in which pupils watch a robot learn by feedback. Every robot starts clumsy, tries something, gets a score, keeps what worked and tries again — the core idea of reinforcement learning, made visible.
THE 5 GAMES
Wobbly Walker (Tricky): a robot learns to balance and walk (slowly — a good talking point).
Free-Throw Arm (Starter): a robot arm practises free throws and gets closer each generation.
Hoop Bot (Advanced): a robot on a rolling ball learns to drive, aim and shoot, with a coach explaining each try.
Bullseye Bot (Starter): a throwing robot learns to throw closer to the bullseye, even when the board moves.
Robo Fencers (Advanced, foil only): two robots learn fencing by self-play.
