9 lessons and one assessment lesson (could then also do a FIT to make it 11 lessons in total) All lessons focus on an 'Amazing Place' but have an undertone of either hazards (first 2 lessons) or tourism and conservation (last 6 lessons). They all aim in inspire and help pupils to wonder about the world around them using tourist attractions. The lessons have a map in so pupils familise themselves with maps and the first lesson focuses on atlas work. I have attached my original plan which sounds you the order of the lessons. There is also an oppertunity to expand the scheme of work into other tourist destinations such as the great wall of China. Shown on the unit of work. If you live close by to Stonehenge it could also be a great opportunity for a field visit, the Stonehenge website also has a virtual tour. Any questions please message me. 1. Introduction 2. Yellow Stone 3. Himalayas 4. Stonehenge 5. Pyramids of Giza 6. Parthenon - Greece 7. Petra - Jordan 8. Easter Island - Mystery Lesson 9. Machu Picchu 10. Stonehenge Assessment

A PP for a 2 hour lesson (Can easily make into a 1 hour). Great for before an exam. Splits the class into four so the competition aspect is there. Tasks such as Pictionary, Taboo, Card Sorts, Crosswords and many more. Teacher guidance slides on each task for what websites to access etc. Score cards on the PP. Nothing to do with the Olympics, just a way of adding competition and each task is like a different sport in the Olympics.

Tasks for secondary school, best for humanities. A list of 50 different types of tasks and activities for when your stuck on how to teach a particular subject. From green pen to loads of activities with pictures, diamond ranking, bingo etc. It's really helped me through my PGCE/NQT year. Put this together as all I could find was starters and plenaries. Selling at only a £1 as want to help as many people as possible. Could also be used for differentiation or challenge/extension tasks.

I created these while teaching in secondary school and now I am a supply teacher I take these everywhere with me. As they are generic can be used for every year, every subject. They follow blooms taxonomy so have a various tasks, and can be used for all levels of knowledge and understanding. I used to use string but found either key-rings or cable ties work best. I also laminate them so they can be reused for much longer and can be wiped cleaned after used, Both PDF and Word version included so you can edit.
