I have created this resource using the idea that the pupils are opening a market stall at the Manchester Christmas markets - they are given all of the information that they need on the sheet including their costings. They have to answer questions on their marketing strategies, USP, Target Audience and finances. It finished with 2 x 3 mark exam questions on business plans. I would say this is a 1 hour lesson.

This is a knowledge check revision sheet that I have created to use with my classes; I use them in lesson and also as homework tasks. It makes the pupils focus on the main concepts that they need to learn and it gives them the answers required. I use it by getting them to fold the answers over on the given sheet and on another piece of paper write the answers, they then unfold the paper and check their answers. If they have it write they put a tick in the middle box however if they have it wrong they put an x in the middle box. I get them to keep going over the questions until they have three right in a row.

This is a guide to answering the 3 and 6 mark questions in Section A (no context) of the Business 9-1 exam using the ABLT structure, This is a structure that my students love and it just needs a little tweaking to suit all questions up to the 12 mark question. I have also included suggested logical chains of reasoning that move away from more revenue, more profit (great for if like me you are fed up of reading this). I have included worked examples and some practice questions. I am in the process of completing a guide for 3 - 6 mark section B and C (with context at the moment) and then I am moving onto the 9 and 12 mark questions so keep an eye on my resources.
