Two lessons looking at globalisation and containerisation. Pitched a middle ability KS3 pupils but could be adpated for high and low ability pupils. There is an opportunity for assessment at the end of the lesson to create a cartoon once pupils have analysed a range of sources to show the effects of globalisation.

Case study for the Chilean earthquake that can be adapted for all key stages.

A case study lesson that can be adapted for pupils studying earthquakes. The lesson has opportunities to look at human development as well as causes, effects and responses to the earthquake.

Case study that can be adapted for all key stages looking at Typhoon Haiyan. The resource looks at the tropical storms path, the development of the Philippines, effects and responses to the hazard.

Scheme of work that can has the opportunity to have local case studies inputted. Aimed at mid ability KS3 pupils but can be adpated for high ability and low ability pupils. DNA questions can be changed - these are activities that are done in silence at the beginning of each lesson for 5 minutes as part of knowledge recall from previous lessons.

Weather Hazards topic following the AQA GCSE 1-9 specification. Resources include global atmospheric circulation, location or tropical storms, features of storms, Typhoon Haiyan case study and reducing the effects of tropical storms. All resources are attached and can be easily adapted to suit class ability. Exam questions are resources throughout with sentence starters, success criteria and a breakdown of how to answer specific exam questions.
