Here are some instructions, and the template, for the circle books we made about volcanoes. They would work for nearly any topic!

These lessons could be used for KS2 - KS3 (but may need some slight adaptation depending on age). They focus on the 2020 John Lewis Christmas Advert, and use a range of writing including poetry, persuasive letter and creating a storyboard.

As not every child will look forward to the holdiays or have something to do, I’ve created a small activity pack which they can take home and do, should they want to. I’ve also added some maths colouring and activities to mine from Twinkl.

This 2 week scheme is based around the reading skills students will need to know to be successful. It includes skimming and scanning, inference, prediction and summarising. These are all built for remote learning but would also work in the classroom. Small interactive activities, followed by a longer task. Note - our lessons are 90 minutes long and therefore this may make a longer scheme for you, or need to be broken down into smaller chunks!

A quick and easy way to send book reviews to authors! I have these available in my book corner/classroom library for children to access when they have finished a book. I then tweet them to authors, and put their reply, as well as the review, on display in the classroom. Perfect way to boost book talk in the classroom.

Year 6 spelling revision/learning through short focused activities. These are linked to my Spelling Activity resource which could be provided for home to extend the learning. These will be updated so eventually there are spelling activities for every week, in every term.

Weekly arithemtic and reasoning questions to continue revision throughout the school year prior to SATs, covering a range of different topics.

Cover sheets for English lessons - each comprises of 10 activities children can undertake when the teacher is not in, which are all writing based. There is a Fiction and Non-Fiction sheet, so will cover 20 lessons in total.

Each week, a new poster (alongside the book) is added to the book corner/classroom library. I then put the previous poster into a folder for children to look through! There are 10 pre-created, and a PDF of the poster. I believe if you put this as a background om a PowerPoint, you can edit the poster with your own picks.
