Laminate the nutrient information posters and display them around the room. Pupils use these to complete the information table. It is an active way of pupils learning the information. I use this in a number of topics and pupils enjoy getting out of their seats and finding information themselves. For extra excitement, hide some of the posters in more difficult places, on the inside of cupboard doors etc. The font and size is dyslexia friendly and should be printed on recycled non-bright white paper if possible. Adaptable to all topics and all subjects. You need a beach ball with numbers 1-20 written on in permanent marker. Pupils catch the ball and tell you the number their right thumb is closest to...you click that number and it jumps to that slide and the pupil tells you as much as they can about that word or picture. I don't use questions in case it puts nervous pupils off. The nature of one word or picture really helps them think and elaborate. You can prompt as much as you like in order to differentiate.
