It also includes an interactive PowerPoint and a short video to accompany the theme of the lesson. Aliens have crash landed on earth and need help to return home. The spaceship computer has crashed and the children need to solve the codes to find out what tools the aliens need to repair their ship. The resource also includes the activity sheets for each ability level. It has one LA code, two MA codes and two HA codes. It also includes the code breaker sheets that accompany each activity they are numbered to match the appropriate sheet. It has a challenge activity for children to apply their knowledge and create their own codes. The children really enjoyed this activity and were very excited to find out what tools the aliens needed.

L.O. Can I create artwork in the style of Patrick Caulfield? Resources include the PowerPoint that introduces a British artist and the focus of the lesson. The activity involves the oil pastel technique, explanation of the process involved is included in the presentation. An example to show children has also been included. Children enjoyed this lesson and used the technique again to create new drawings in their own time. My class created postcards with the image on the front but the purpose of the drawing can be changed.
