This lesson is designed to introduces the wives of Henry, their Pros and Cons and ultimately, what happens to them all. The lesson is designed to be fun and introduce role-play. There is also lots of reading and investigative opportunities. I play the Love Island theme tune at various points during the lesson such as when you are introducing a character (who will ideally be dressed up and enter the room separately). The lesson is designed so that you can make it last just the hour or over several lessons. It includes a full script (written informally) and also a blank table sheet that can be printed for the whole class. For this activity, I stick the slides with the info on, around the room OR get them to fill in the sheet as you go through the powerpoint with each ‘wife’ standing at the front, accompanying it. All genders are encouraged to dress up and play a wife.
